Washing
Linen must be washed gently with neutral
soap and warm water. It becomes more shiny
and softer with washings. Its brightness
is due to the fiber knots that are able
to reflect the light. Colored garments must
be washed in cold water and gently squeezed
or centrifuged. To dry them it is simply
necessary to hung or put them in the dryer
wrapped in a bath sponge. In order to avoid
folding it is better to iron the linen while
still dump. If garments are very dirty you
just have to act on them while still fresh
without using chlorine soaps like ammonia,
because they could stain the tissue. If
the stains are really hard to remove, you
can use peroxide water and wash carefully.
In case of fragile lingerie it is recommended
to fold it in a pillowcase and wash with
washing machine.
Ironing
Linen is to be ironed while still dump,
checking that the iron base is clean and
smooth. The temperature must be set according
to the weight of the tissue and must be
ironed from the inside out part. Starching
is not necessary. If after washing the tissue
is a bit pleated, you just have to hung
it in the bathroom where, thanks to the
water vapour, it will get back its original
vigour.
Home garments washing
Regularly brush the tissue and clean with
the vacuum cleaner. Curtains and coverings
have to be dry washed in order to preserve
the seams. You don't have to leave the stains
get dried but dry them with a white wet
piece good and later dry by using the hair
drier. In case of wall paper you just have
to use the vacuum cleaner and a brush, because
the linen fiber doesn't captures dust. In
case of stains use dry cleansers or specific
ones.
